Jake this looks awesome.

I track my 318is at Summit Point, NJMP, and VIR. The car is great but lacks power, duh. I'm VERY interested in this kit. My main concern is reliability. I've read where some forced induction system have problems running lean.  AutoX is one thing but a 30 minute session of taching out the gears is another. The M42 lacks power but it makes it up in reliability. It will stay at redline all day at the track and then drive you 4 hours home.

This is my car at VIR. Coming out of Oak Tree I lost all my momentum which is very frustrating >:(. https://vimeo.com/63205881

If you think your kit and tune will hold up, I'm in.

Hey guys, I have purchased this kit and the car is up and running!  I have to say first that JakeB is an awesome guy to work with, he has helped me every step of the way, with installation and trouble shooting little miscellaneous issues.  Now to the kit, quality of all the pieces is fantastic, all the welds look great on the manifold and downpipe.  I had some issues from user error installing the injectors and when I let Jake know what was going on he sent me a new set just in case.  First impressions with driving the car... It is amazing.  The power is just incredible especially after 4,000 rpms, so much torque!  It really throws you back in your seat and it has made me fall in love with my e30 all over again.  I can't wait to install a fresh head gasket with arp studs and crank up the boost!  It the form it's in now, I bolted this kit on to a stock 165k mile motor and it seems to be loving it.  I'm walking stock e46 m3's and driving the car is just an absolute blast.  I was originally going to buy another e30 to drive daily but this car is so much fun I couldn't imagine not driving it everyday.  I can't stress enough how great of a seller Jake has been to work with and he hasn't shrunk or disappeared at any issue and is continuing to help me out on a daily basis.  Anyone on the fence thinking about it, I'm telling you from experience, just go for it.  I'll post pictures asap and continue to let you guys know what is happening but it is by far and above the most fun car I have every driven and the power finally matches the handling characteristics of this lovely machine BMW made.

Not hard, just time consuming.  The exhaust manifold is tough to get on and off, because of the way the engine is tilted.  Everything else is pretty simple.  I deleted my a/c because it wasn't working that well anyway and I figured the weight savings would equal out what everything else would add.  You need to have a dremel or a way to trim some things.  Some basic experience is all I had, the most complicated job I've done is a cooling system overhaul.  So if I can do it on jack stands in my buddies garage you can do it.  I think the total cost with all the trips to the auto store, the wideband and boost gauge, aluminum intercooler piping powdercoated black, cermaic coated exhaust manifold, turbo and downpipe came out to right about $2,300.  The base kit is $1,700 and with my extras it was about $1,900.

You should do a compression & leak down test on the engine to answer that question. You can probably get away with this kit as its very low boost if your numbers are good. But with that many miles on the engine it will only be a matter of time before you have to rebuild, so be ready and make sure your $$ is right! People often times put all their money in the turbo setup only to have the engine blow later.

Btw i have contacted jakeb once a couple of months ago and he never answered me back.

Great advice. A leakdown test is simple and will answer your questions pretty thoroughly :)
