That dial that I use exclusively for the a/c that has the blue and red colors.  Well the red part is for warmth.  Never had to use it here in the tropics, but this morning it was 53 degrees so I had to warm up.  Now I know the heater works.

Not only do I get heat, I get the sweet aroma of leaking coolant!

I learned that unless my heat dial is at 100% red, cold air comes out.... and yes, I had to use it today as it was 30 degrees when I left for work.

Looks like you and I both need to do a heater core replacement. Mine is clogged and not leaking though.

Zoso, did you try checking or adjusting the adjustment knob behind the heater controls and by the heater flap?

I just leave the windows up. Works for me. I WAS tempted to see what the red part meant though. FL cold is different.

The knob at the bottom near #8?

My recirculate button is also AC button.  I have two AC buttons and no recirculation button.  If I have both of them pushed in, I still get the same cold air not any colder.

Yes, but I believe there is an adjustment knob at both ends of the wire.

today was -3 degrees celcius I had my heater full on and my heated seat on. We sometimes get -40 degrees celcius plus the wind factor.

Quebec, Canada. Taking a picture now would be pointless as we don't have any snow yet...which is very abnormal as we usually get a few feet by the end of October. Global Warming is very true lol. I had a picture of my car completly hidden under a huge pile of snow...I'll try to find it.
