FS: Totally shagged out M42 engine in Charleston
« on: July 28, 2012, 04:19:33 PM »
Hi All, just took this motor out of my 1991 318is. It has more than 252,000 miles on it (since the odometer stopped working in 2007, we will never know exactly how many). We have been everywhere together and then some. It has been my daily driver. It worked but it was super rattly! I have no idea how the timing chain and it's friends have held it together for so long...

OK decided to part it out. Stripped it down today.

Cheers
Brett
