my brother has the H&R sports on his e30. he said if he was to do it again, he'd go with the ie3's. In my opinion, ride quality is similar, but the ie3's are stiffer for cornering and harsher on speed bumps. i guess if you deal with a lot of pot holes, and you don't plan on taking it to the track, H&R's are fine, plus they will be a good bit cheaper. new ie3's = 300 + s/h, new H&R's = 215, ussaly free s/h.
