We are working on a '91 318is that I picked up for my son's first car. we just noticed the other day that the trim piece (rain gutter) on the passenger side is missing. Any ideas on where to source something like this?

You might check with a BMW dealership first, I've recently picked up several replacement parts from them at good prices.

+1 on the dealer. They might have to order it from Germany, and it might be expensive, but BMW does a surprisingly good job supporting their older cars.

Find someone with a parts car near you or a JY it'll be MUCH cheaper

I just ordered the new shadow line trim pieces from around the window. I used maximillian importing and they ordered the parts from Germany.
