Help with hoses [pic]
« on: June 06, 2012, 04:12:10 PM »
Did the mess under intake nonsense. But I am a retard and can't get it back together so some help would be appreciated.

I need to make several connections. Circled in red. Coming off brake master cylinder. Coming from throttle body. Coming from the engine itself.

In yellow is coming from the intake boot. After looking at schematics, it seems like i need to route this into a tube going from the valve cover to idle regulating valve. Or did I do that wrong and this just goes directly from intake boot to ICV.

In the diagram it looks like it goes 17, 16, 14, 15, 14, 13, 7. But should I know route it 17, 16, 7

Here I have coming from the cylinder head cover where tube 10 is going all the way and connecting to the ICV. (#7 above) Should I put a T in here and connect to the intake boot?

So what am I doing wrong/right?

If I am remembering this correctly you route from the valve cover #10 to the nipple on the throttle body. Then simply connect the nipple on the upper intake manifold to the brake booster setup, the two red circles on the right in your pic. Then you route from the idle control/stabilization valve to the intake boot.

It looks like you perhaps did not delete part #15, although its hard to tell from you pics.

Valve cover to throttle body barbed fitting. Lower intake manifold to brake booster. ICV to intake boot.

Most connections have a different diameter for both sides. I used plastic reducers from Napa to join the two different size hoses.
