Hello all!  Found this forum a couple of months ago when I was considering selling my 91 318i since I had purchased a small SUV for longer trips.  Lurked a bit here, and other forums, and quickly realized that I'm too attached to sell it, although several of my coworkers think I'm nuts for keeping it.:D

I purchased it new in May 1991, has been my DD for many years.  I don't work on cars, but have an excellent local shop to help keep up with the mechanical issues.  I would like to do some minor restoration work on the vehicle in the future, but will take my time as budget allows.

Good to hear from you, especially since you've had such good luck with the car.  BTW, your buddies are nuts for NOT wanting an old BMW...
