How low is your car? Mine is 3.5" ground to scrape guard

Seems pretty low. its also on Tokico shocks and springs, not my choice but the car came with it. Thinking of possibly getting different springs for it in the near future to raise it up a bit, make it a bit more realistic for daily driving.

The 318i(s)'s are notoriously low at the oil pan. I have a 12 gauge oil pan shield, but i just measured and its exactly 3.5" from it to the floor of my garage. Seems really low.

How low are your cars from the oil pan/guard to the ground?

I'm interested to know what stock is, and what various suspension set ups are as well.

My '91 318is. Completely stock. Stock tire size. Sitting on very level surface.
Just a tad over 6" (guessing 6 1/16th) to the lower round part of where the oil pan bolt goes in to pan.

I can't imagine lowering this car with that thing sitting so low and vulnerable. eek..

yea man, im really contimplating raising it a bit. not sure which springs though because i want a pretty firm set, but not a big drop.

Mine is a 50mm drop and the bumper is 1.5" off the floor bit of a pain on bumpy roads

i just purchased a set of H&R  part # 50404 for a 318is and during install noticed that the old springs are Eibach springs. and the H&R's installed were taller height than the Eibachs so im gonna just get rid of the H&R's i've had them a week and they were on the car for about an hour but idk what to get for them when i sell them i bought them at Turnermotorsport. don't know if anyone is interested in them.  they lower the car aprox 1.25 inches
