I recently purchased a '91 318i with no maint history.
The car does not have any heat coming out the vents.
List of things I checked/noticed
-Fan/motors work, as the A/C works fine
-No matter how much the car is warmed up, idle or driving, no heat
-Temp gauge would output around the 1/4 to 1/2 (closer to 1/2) when fully warmed up
-I bled it today and saw some bubbles, but not much..reading a few ticks away from 1/2 way now
-The coolant hoses in the engine bay connected to the firewall (to heater core) are both cold when engine is warm
+BUT the block hose is getting some heat (on the block side), but the actual hose to the firewall is still cold
Is my car still not fully bled? I read the countless threads on the difficulty of bleeding the car, so I'm not sure if I'm totally there yet. I hand pumped the upper hose and I've revv'd and bled a few times now.
