No affiliation, but a low mileage car at decent asking price IMHO. I'd buy it for the drivetrain alone...if I had room...and $1K.

Keith,
most likely it is with 8V M40 engine. At least here in europe M42 Verts were not available.

I don't think any BMWs came with the M40 after the M42 was introduced here in 1990.

According to BMWfans.info the Cabrio came with an M42 after build date 06/90 which would probably be a '91 model year for us.

Hrm...that is a pretty decent deal if something could be done with the title.  There are some legal hoops that you'd need to jump through for that.  I'd suspect a decent interior is worth nearly that much...

The M40 was never sold in the USA, AFAIK.  Oddly, Americans look down on the M42 as a budget engine...usually swapping them out for larger motors.  Only 8v BMW we ever had over here is the old M10.

Well, maybe I could find a spot...I must apply logic...my motor runs fine...but still...if I parked it behind the garage I wonder how long it would take my wife to realize I brought another one home?

What's under the lift?  Can't see that area clearly enough, too many BMWs...

We don't have problems...our wives do. :p

Nothing under the lift as that is the car I'm working towards daily status. To the right of the picture behind the black car is also a '75 CB750(K5) and to the left of the primer black car is a '95 Electra Glide awaiting an '07 Street Glide suspension swap.

I need a storage shed.

I hear you.  My wife needs the therapy.  A shed would help her, no doubt...

I had a CB750 K3 myself!  Great bike, funkadelic OEM metallic brownish/purple paint, looked like I was riding with an eggplant.  Now I have a bunch of v65 Sabres...far more powerful bike, but with substantially less style.

I'm not surprised. The DC/NOVA crowd moves in pretty fast on these types of listings.

I suppose there will be a lot more space in Keith's garage when he have sold all the parts he have to me..... You can also send that CB750,  not a problem. I used to have a CB 500 when i was a teenager. My dad said no to CB 750 back then :(
