Parts from Turbo Race Car shop
« on: February 11, 2012, 03:21:46 PM »
Everything below comes out of my garage or our race trailer.  These are spares or parts for future projects that we won’t be using.  Many are new or like new, most are cleaned, some need to be taken apart for components and cleaned.  All sales are As-Is, local pickup preferred but we might ship at buyers expense.  Some of the larger, heavier parts will be expensive to ship.  Nothing comes with a warranty, guarantee, or promise of completeness or suitability for any specific application.  Please contact before purchasing if you have any questions.

M42 Cylinder Head, Complete, SOLD

JB Aluminum racing flywheel 9lbs.!  SOLD

Water Pump Kit: SOLD

NIB Timing Chain Tensioner SOLD

Front Timing Case Seal NIB $10

E36 M42 Wire Harness - $125 Includes relays

M42 Intake Plenum (Upper half only) – Half Price!  $25 plus shipping

M42 Dampner, Crank Pulleys - $30

M42 Exhaust Header    SOLD

Idle Air Control Valve (2 available) $50 each

Power Steering Pump (Dirty) $80

Cam trays and buckets (2 complete sets) $25 per set

Head for spare parts.  #3 piston dome destroyed.  CAM trays, springs, and remaining valves are good.  $50

Polished valve cover, could use new polish but should clean up nicely.  $80

M42 High performance short block.  Engine was running when disassembled.  Intended for high rev, normally aspirated street/HPDE application.  Knife edged/lightened crank, custom rods.  Believe to be $1.8+L motor based on our bore and stoke measurements.  There also a photo of a crank for reference purposes.  This bottom end is assembled and ready to go.  Includes new water pipe.  $500

 PENDING SALE

Fan, water pump, thermostat and pulley.  Came off the High Performance engine.  Steel impeller water pump. $50

Painted upper and lower timing case cover and thermostat housing.  Came off the High Performance short block engine. $100

Inner timing case with crank bolt and hall effect crank position sensor.  Came off the High Performance short block engine.  This is an aftermarket dampner, with the sensor (vendor not known).  Uncertain if the timing case was modified to fit only this sensor or if a stock sensor will still fit.  This is a great upgrade if running an aftermarket ECU. $250

Black Powder Coated Intake and Valve Cover Kit.  Includes custom intake adapter for an M20 throttle body.  If you don’t want the adapter, let us know and we may separate but they were bolted together when we took the picture.  All were professionally crinkle powder coated, but the valve cover would benefit from touch up with black engine spray paint. $125

Alternator, bracket, and dip stick tube.  $150.

#1 Upper and lower oil pan and pickup. SOLD

Oil Cap & Oil Filter Housing - $80

#2 Upper and lower oil pan, lower pan SOLD

Lower inner and outer timing case and cover.  Also rear main seal cover and thermostat housing.  $100.  Note, the inner timing case needs to be cleaned, still has part of the old water pump that needs to be removed.  Willing to break this set up.

Left and right motor mount arms $75

Left motor mount arm only (dirty) $40

Timing components –Cam sprockets, timing chain guide, timing chain tensioner – All in excellent condition out of a motor that was just rebuilt.  $125

We wanted to give this forum the first look and the first shot at any of these parts before we start communicating this sale to all of the BMW forums.

Thanks for looking.

I've tried selling my bmw's parts on a nearby auto warehouse. Wasn't able the whole car so I decided to sell parts of it and it did bring me a good amount of money. Much more than selling it whole. I had greater sale on the abs system and cylinders and engine sensors. Good luck withe the sale though. I'd be waiting for the upcoming parts to add to my wheels.
