Stripped bolt

I stripped the top bolt on my timing chain guide, and wondered what would be the best solution. Lots of options... JB Weld and re-drill/tap?

Im not sure if I understand what you stripped, the bolt or the threaded bolt hole that it threads into. If it is the bolt , buy a replacment of the exact thread pitch & size. If its the bolt hole buy a heli coil kit that is sized to fit the orignal bolt and use it. I would not start using JB Weld on the car if you havent already!!! Good luck.
