Flex joint / Guibo

Is there any great difference in the quality of the different brands of guibos? The prices are all over the place from the different supply houses on the internet.

Yesterday, changed to a Z3 shifter. I bought a complete overhaul kit from Pelican Parts & a new Z3 shifter from the stealer. I could not change all the parts. I have to remove the driveshaft to finish. The guibo did not look great & this would be an opportune time to replace it.

yeah, there is a pretty big difference in quality between a 10 dollar made in japipski  item and the 40 dollar one from Germany.  (not real prices, just an example.)  The cheap ones are made from a cheaper softer grade of rubber, and will need replacement after a couple of years.  The good ones will last quite a bit longer, maybe even the life of the car,  depending on how you drive.

Hi:

Having recently put in an E36 M3 shifter, flex disc, driveshaft/CSB, and two rear transmission seals (and enjoying the improved smoothness and shifting immensely) get the right parts and get it fixed right the first time. You probably figured out dropping a driveshaft isn't a whole lot of fun....
