Correct resistance ohms reading for e30 blower motor resistor

I purchased a replacement, but it won't blow on 3rd speed, even though my original part would (albeit intermittently).  Anybody know what resistance should be on the new part, short path to long path?  I read 1.7, 2.5, and 3.0 ohms, short to long.
