E36 M42 CAM/CRANK Plug In Set Up
« on: January 01, 2012, 09:18:29 AM »
Can some one look at their e36 m42 set up for your cam and crank sensor and let me know if it looks like this? I want to make sure these are plugged in correctly. They can be plugged in with the wires facing up or flip the plugs with the wires facing down. Thanks for the help!

E36 M42 CAM/CRANK Plug In Set Up

Your pictures were too close in for me to tell up from down (worse, I haven't had an e36 yet).  I'm not sure I know.

I can tell you that on an e30 the lower plug is for the crank sensor, if you're looking at it from the driver's fender the wires are low, the connector flips up for the lower plug.  The cam sensor is the opposite, flips down into the upper plug.
