I hate to do it, but winter is cold and I am focused on getting my 240sx ready to drift next year. Unfortunately my bmw is in pieces, in my garage, and filling all the space I currently need in my budget, my mind and my workspace. I drove it the last year, had no issues whatsoever, and one day the climate control fan started rattling like crazy. I decided to take it off the road and freshen it up over the winter, and started myself a money hole I can't see any reason to stay in at this point. As it sits right now, the car is largely diassembled so I could get it painted. I have meticulously labelled and removed all the exterior trim, glass, and most of the interior. The only things that would need major work to reassemble on the interior are the headliner, carpet(stained pretty bad) and seats, seats just needing new tension wires and some upholstery. The manual sunroof also needs a rebuild. I have brand new cable assemblies for the sunroof, it still needs other parts though. As for the exterior its in great shape. Needs a little touch up on the front fender and one dent in the right side. The car has no rust whatsoever, and has never been wrecked. It got a maaco respray at some point which is flaking, hence the planned paint job. It was originally and still is brilliantrot red. As for the motor, it has about 200k miles on it. I bought it after it had been over heated, and had the head repaired by a company in Charlotte NC via Bob Shields and Bavarian Auto Service. At his shop we got all the fragile plastic pieces and random issues repaired and replaced as the head went back in. I also installed a brand new radiator and idle control valve. After reinstalling the engine top end and getting it running I daily drove it for most of a year, going about 8-10 miles a day when I did drive it(I have a truck too that is occasionally required for work). The odometer never worked but the car has been driven about 5,000 miles since this major work. The only reason I took it off the road was the prospect of having no heat for the winter months. It had no ac (compressor there, ac coil missing when I got it)I have not been able to find the parts for that, and I am also now realizing that sourcing new body clips and misc interior for a restored quality rebuild would far outweigh my budget. I also have some random extra parts to include, spare ecu and misc spare interior parts. I hate to do it, but at this point I really must. Anyway, I am putting it out for now for sale as a whole at $1300. I will have a bunch of pictures and video up but I am at work without my personal laptop today. I am hesitant to part it out because I do not want the hassle of a million little transactions but for the right price I will sell parts. So, in conclusion, in pieces, but will be running before you buy, and needing ac and climate control fan parts, misc exterior and interior trim fasteners, paint and reassembly.
