M16 Crank Pulley Bolt - Replace After Removal?
« on: December 10, 2011, 03:41:32 AM »
I need to pull my lower timing case cover this weekend to inspect some timing chain guide rails, and probably replace one. It just hit me that I am not sure if you can re-use the big annoying M16 crank pulley bolt. The Bentley manual says to replace it (so I guess that's the right answer). Those that have removed it...has anyone reused it and had it break on them? Thanks.

Visit HERE for a plethora of 318iS stuff and some other randomness.  Would you say I have a, plethora, of pinatas?

I've reused and retorqued one a half dozen times.
