OEM-like wood shift knobs
« on: December 07, 2011, 10:49:47 PM »
It seems impossible to find a old-school e21 or 2002 looking shift  knob that fits our type of shifter stalk.  Has anyone ever found anything old school oem looking  with the bmw or Alpina logo?  I was thinking along these lines:

http://euromcars.com/parts/alpina/05-14-07/alpshft.htm

I couldn't make the hyperlink work...
Thanks in advance

hahahaha...$10.  I payed €40(about $56) for my well used Alpina knob and that was a flatout Bargain!!  I cleaned it with wood cleaner/protector and it looks quite nice.

They go for about €80 over here on Ebay.de

i have been scanning ebay long and hard.  MikeDE, does your alpina pop on like our more recent cars or is it a thread-on.  I havent been able to find much info on whether or not there are adapters out there to use the older thread on style onto ours.  I would imagine not, being the thread-on style is probably a smaller diameter.  MikeDE, you wouldn't happen to have an easy photo on you to see what it would look like?  thanks!
