Injector choice
« on: December 04, 2011, 04:21:25 PM »
I am going to be replacing my injectors with a 42lb Mustang type injector.  Does my e36 M42 run low or high impedance?  need to find the right ones to do a direct swap.

FYI i know the are bigger and i am using a fuel management to use them.

high impedance, from what i'm reading 42lb is way overkill unless you plan on making over 300hp

+1.  High impedance & looks like PN 0280155968 is a pretty common choice.  You'll be sharing them with high pressure turbo Volvo's & Porsche 928's:

Injectors that are too large will cause you some idle & low speed troubles.  Depends on how big that blower will be, I guess.

I will be running 15psi  I went with the 42 Lb Mustang injectors.  Just wanted to make sure the mustang ones would be the correct Impedance.

Thanks guys
