Im planning trip to Germany, Frankfort  anyone recommend any salvage yards in Germany?  Or has anyone ever brought back parts from over seas?

I'd think the easiest way is to ship it back to a good address like your parent's house & pay the customs duties.  I can't recall what the exemption is, depends on length of stay...

If they're really good parts just send them to me.  I won't charge you anything for storage/rent (but a few bits would end up on my car)...

Seriously though, if you find some really good yards I'm in the market for some choice pieces...it'd be awesome to get my hands on some euro e24 parts...shipping would be murder on e24 Recaros/manifolds/bumpers and 15" euroweaves though.

actually Dave, you have helped me out on this forum on several occasions, if i get a nice batch of euro goodies, maybe i can talk Santa into stuffing something in your stocking.

Thanks for the compliment...not sure I deserve it though.  Just one Bimmerhead trying to pass the, uh, disease along...

I'll have to start looking up the (shippable) goodies that Euro e24's had...15% more power and 350# less weight can't fit in a box!
