Spring/Shock Combo?
« on: October 10, 2011, 09:59:12 AM »
Hi everyone,

I'm looking to replace the suspension on my 91 318is and I'm having a little difficulty searching for an answer. I'm wondering if these shocks and struts will work with the H&R Sport Spring set:

http://www.bmaparts.com/item.wws?sku=BMW003629&itempk=136142&mfr=KYB&weight=3.670 (shocks)

http://www.bmaparts.com/item.wws?sku=BMW018927&itempk=136141&mfr=KYB&weight=5.630 (struts)

Has anybody on here used the KYB's? I tried running a search but for some reason I can't seem to find any info. I'll admit, it's probably user error as I'm still new to the sight. They'll probably work with the Sport Springs, but I'd like to double check.

Thanks for your help!

The KYB's are OK at best, as far as I'm concerned. If you already have the sport springs I would go for the Koni's. A few bucks more, but definitely much higher performing!
If you don't have the sport springs yet, get a matched set up from Ground Control, Bimmerworld BC Racing or somebody like them!
My 2 cents for what it is worth!!
Your milage may vary. Not to be used in conjunction with any other offers. Limited time only. Prior sales exluded. Only one vehicle at this price. Dealer to retain any and all rebates.
