Headlight closure panel
« on: October 03, 2011, 02:01:23 PM »
Greetings,  still on the lookout for the plastic panel that closes off the headlight area,  with the fasteners if possible.  Drivers side,  91 318is, but I think pretty much all e-30 cars got them...except mine..
                                                                            Thanks,
                                                                                 Geoff

well, a buddy of mine has the plastic panel, so I'm good there.  Somewhat dis-heartening,  went to 3 local junk yards, none had it,  or even any e-30's for that matter.   That push to get rid of all the older cars seems to have been somewhat effective..all crushed:confused:  F em,  I dont want to buy a new car

I've been digging through my piles of parts, I've only found the smaller 'e' panel.  I'll keep looking.

I'm annoyed that they're crushing e30's too.  They nabbed a 'vert before I'd removed everything I wanted.

Thanks much,  I've got it now, Dave.  I only needed to go to a junkyard 2 states away to find it, lol.  A buddy of mine had a bmw junkyard in CT,  I used to get my e-21 parts from him.  He ran into trouble with the business,  and had to unload all his cars and literally school busses full of spares:(
He only has a storage area with some bits and pieces left, and fortunately for me,  he had the plastic panel needed.  and,  it came off of a 89 m-3  so you know its fast:D
                                 Thanks,
                                        G
