Seeking to buy left side sunroof cable for 1984 318i. Proving very hard to find given that the cables for the 1985 and newer models are different from those for cars built in 1983-84. Please let me know if you happen to have one!

Can you upgrade the cassette to the later model?  I wasn't aware that the M10 e30 had a different setup.

I have like four sets, but they're all the later version.

Dave, I'm not sure whether they are interchangable nor what the difference is. I thought I'd found a solution by using a small copper tube and epoxy as a coupling but it's too big to fit through the channel. I'll keep looking!
