can anyone recomend a FPR that will work with our cars? I would like one with a guage.

Look for an aftermarket Regulator for a VW 1.8t It uses the same type and are a popular tuner car. I got a 4bar regulator for cheap

Sorry but that wont work. That set is ment to work with the older style fuel pressure regulators like on the MK2 golf with Digifant variants. The person selling these doesnt know that. why do you need a guage? Look for a "vw power valve" on ebay. There is a guy in the UK selling a rising rate fuel pressure regulator with the correct adapter for our style of regulator but does not have a guage. Might help

rising rates are supposed to increase the pressure with boost right? i dont want that, at least not now. I just want to be able to slightly tone down the pressure with some 24lb injectors

bavarian autosport has a nice one with an adapter that replaces the stock regulator. It's really pricey though. If you can find just the adaptor you could get one of those shiny 10 dollar jobs on ebay.

oops, sorry, been living under a rock:

24# injectors, 3.5 bar fuel pressure regulator -- this is probably overkill, btw.

note, most ford/bosch injectors are rated at like 2.5 bar or something... stock M42 is 3 bar...

so 24lb injectors and increased fuel pressure? hmm. I was thinking of just going with some 21.5's for break in and see how it goes but maybe i will get 24's. THough 22 would be about right for the displacment increase.
