1991 BMW 318is in Diamantschwarz.
I purchased this car last fall and have had a blast with it.
Unfortunately, my time and finances need to be directed in a different direction at the moment, so I won't be able to take this project as far as I had hoped. I have listed it for sale on Craigslist and some other classifieds, but I would really like to see it stay in the e30 enthusiast community!

The Good -
-
Drives Well-
New Ronal LS Wheels All Around
-
Genuine Hella Smoked Ellipsoids-
Decent Paint - with the exception of a scratch on the front driver's fender, the paint would look pretty good with a decent polish and wax.
-
Almost no Rust - This car spent most of its life in California & Arizona, so there is almost no rust. There is one spot near the license plate that can be easily patched, and some surface rust on the fender scratch.
-
New Exhaust - Catalytic Converter, Resonator, & Muffler
-
New Plugs, Wires, Filters, etc.
-
New Center Support Bearing & Giubo-
The Not-so-Good -
- As mentioned before, there is a scratch on the driver's front fender that goes down to metal. Should be easy to paint it up.
- The car sometimes has a rough idle after a cold-start. I think it is the idle control valve. Should be a quick fix.
- The timing assembly is starting to get a little noisy from ~ 2500 - 2900 rpm. I think a new timing chain tensioner should quiet it back down.
- The car has a rebuilt title from a collision that occurred in 2004. The car is straight and drives great. As far as I can tell, the only repair work done was replacing the passenger door and painting, which leads me to believe that the damage from the accident was not extensive. The door was replaced with one from a red 325, so the door and trim were painted to match the car. The paint on the trim has started flaking to show the chrome underneath, and there are a couple dings on the rear edge of the door that show a dot of red paint. These would be very easy to touch up.
- The car could use new tires in the near future.
I have included everything I can think of here, but please ask any questions that you may have.
The car is located in Cookeville, TN (about 80 miles east of Nashville).
I am asking
$2800, but cash talks. Especially when coming from someone who will continue to improve the car, rather than driving it into the ground.
