WTB M42 Cylinder Head
« on: June 09, 2011, 09:48:19 AM »
Looking for a nice undamaged cyl head, with camshafts in place.  Please no potentially bent valves!  Paypal preferred, shipping to FL (32179) or pickup within 200 miles.

To trade, if you are interested:

Two stock fog light units, LH lens pitted but not cracked, RH lens cracked + removed (replacement lenses run ~$25?)
Full used set of timing chain components, chain, sprockets, guides - drivers side chain guide. Sprockets are all in decent shape with some scalloping.
1/2 Wheel stud conversion, 8 studs, 8 lug nuts
Air intake cone filter kit  3" outlet, ~5" cone, MFR unknown (fits M42)

Still looking for the right cyl head.  Seems that there are zillions of good M44 heads out right now but almost no good M42s!  So if you happen to have one or see one and want to help me with my predicament let me know!

I have one but it has some wear dude to the chain guides snapping. Basically, the chain ate through some of the aluminum but there are no leaks as a result. Still have cams in place, was a reliable and well maintained motor.

I can get pics next week.

Ok, I can wait on pics, thanks.  If you have an extra upper chain cover to go along with it that would be great.

Found a parts car for peanuts, so my hunt for a good head is done.  That is unless anyone has a good one to sell shipped for under $100. :D
