One Touch Window control

I ordered it from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/AutoLoc-WC2000-Touch-Window-Windows/dp/B003PI77XW

I bought the two window kit and started on the driver's side window. After a couple of hic ups (electrical wiring is not my friend), I figured out which wires power the "up" and the "down". You simply cut the two wires and wire the proper 4 wires to each end. Black for "Up" and Purple for "Down". See attached pix.

Also, black for ground and red for power, which I spliced into the cigarette lighter.

The control box, I placed in front of the ash tray, under the console. I had to angle it to get it to work. I placed it there because I didn't think there would be enough room to fit both in the shifter area of the console.

I wired the passenger switch the same, but all I got was a clicking from the control box. Swapped boxes and it worked, so I must have a defective box. I'll need to get a new one.

EDIT: Added a couple of pix.

Fixed link here, very nice. Perhaps a few more pictures of the box itself, where you tucked it away?

From what I've read, the E36 switches won't do it by themselves. It would take some major wiring, etc. Plus not all E36 switches work, just certain ones.

Added a couple of pix. I need to clean up the wiring when I get to the passenger side. You can see the corner of the box in fron of where the ash tray sits. You need to remove the ash tray to get to the power for the cigarette lighter and to place the module there. If you're only doing one side, you might be able to place it in front of the shifter (that's where I'm going to try and place the passenger module).
