Holy Cow! I can't believe the marathon of swapping out the hoses, etc. I should have removed the entire intake instead of just the top portion. It would have gone lot faster. Lesson learned.
Of course I get it all back together, fill it full of water and start it. I smell gas and see gas pouring out and a puddle under the car. I get under the car, look up and it's just pouring out. I take it all apart and one of the two short gas lines I replaced at the intake fuel rail split.
This time I took the entire intake off, cleaned it inside and out, and replaced the two short gas lines with new hose again. Maybe the first two pieces weren't fuel injection hose?
Anyway, I reassemble it, fill it full of water again, bleed it and all looks good. I'll take it for a spin tomorrow and there's still no problems, I drain it again and add coolant, etc.
