How-To: Install An Omega REC-43T Keyless Entry Module
« on: December 19, 2010, 04:22:23 AM »
Zoso's how-to is great, and to the point. My installation is a little different, so I figured that I would write my own how-to to compliment it. Take a look!

I also installed one of the most overpriced pieces of silliness the other day, and wrote a little how-to for it as well.

Enjoy!

PS
I got some extra modules because I accidentally clicked the "submit order" button twice. $30 shipped each within the lower 48...

Thanks for the write-up. When I did this on my 91 318i, I put the control module in the battery box. If I ever decide to add this to my son's 90 325i vert, I'll do it your way.

I just saw this lastnight... my driver door lock finally busted a few years ago so i put the order in on ebay.  $30 total for keyless entry sounds like a sweet deal.

all done!  yay.

i'm pretty sure that if i use the output from the blue wire, run it to a simple relay, and connect the output of the relay to the left and right blinker wires, i can get the hazard lights to flash... i'll report back if i try it and have any luck.
