Don't let brake dust sway your decision. Depending on what kind of brake pads you use, you can get the brake dust off real good with PS-21, although it is a bit on the expensive side.

My rims are painted anthracite (aka, gun metal gray).  They blend very well with Hawk HP's brake dust, and have the ability to self-heal minor scratches :D
