when i come to a complete stop and the rpm idle drop down to 1000 rpm, it stay there for 20-30 sec before it goes back down to 700rpm. when i first got the car the rpm would go straight to 700rpm on a complete stop. so for such a noob i am, is there anything that i just need to clean to get rid of this small idle issue? thanks

Mine was doing the same thing clean icv might be sticking a bit or a slightly lose vacuam hose

Vacuum hoses that go in and out of- and are under the intake boot/throttle body. I had a fluctuating idle, but pretty much all idle problems come from under the TB.

visit realoem.com for your e30's diagrams. its on the right side of your upper intake manifold. your problem is going to be intake leaks and or a dirty/sticky icv. i would suggest doing the vacuum hose delete mod thread listed under general topics. it'll also show you a picture where your ICV is.

The ICV is a little black & silver can right under the intake manifold really close to the firewall. There's a plug on the bottom & it has a large vac hose running through it's top into the manifold.
