It's pretty easy.  Replace them with pop-out windows while you're at it!

Thanks Dave

You seem to be the one who always answers my questions. Definitely was much easier than i thought. I thought all the outside trim has to come off but...turns out it all comes out together. Easy enough.

Is there by any chance some sorta trick to getting the wiper linkages out. There just isnt enough room for it to come out it seems.

The wiper linkage is the biggest PITA on the whole car.  I typically remove the whole HVAC box to get them out of parts cars...so I've never pulled one out of a functional car.  It does have to come out of the center opening...and it has only the one bolt holding it, along with the big nuts on the wiper mounts.

I have the notion that you could remove the motor with the rack in place.  I have no hard evidence to support that thesis, but it'd make life easier, eh?

Glad to be of assistance.  I just like the e30 a lot & figured I'd help out others with the same problems.  And I like it here far more than at r3v.  Nicer people all 'round.
