Wow, looks like it's going to be really nice when it's done!

So was it originally red and then you painted the exterior black?

yes it's painted black afterwards. I think i will buy a new e30 and put the all good parts in because this is worn out, hate rust

This is a nice project for sure.
Could you explain how much of an extra "boost" the turbocharger provides?
Like, is the difference big in terms of aceleration compared to a standard M42 engine?
It sounds interesting, never owned a turbocharged car though, so Id like to know!

Also: Did you paint the car on your own, or was it done by an professional?

turbo is not installed yet! thinking of 7-10psi boost
take a look in the forum "Swaps, Turbos, Buildups" for similar builds

it's painted in a garage by me, that's professional :D

Looks nice. Could you not fix the rust in this one or is it gone to far?

Another question came to my mind:
What brand is that steering wheel from?
And model name?

I think it's made in china with different brand names like http://www.qspraceware.com
E30 318is M42
E36 318is M44
