Hello,
How would i remove the fan used in the dash. (dont the its real name). Basically im taking my interior out and cant detach the fan from the wiring harness. The whole venting system is held together with clips and divides in three. I think i have to take it all aprat to get the fan out and thus disconnect the wires but there are rivits holding some of it together...ones i cant easily get at.
Am i going about this the right way?
What is the best way to replace this motor say if it broke?

If you are talking about the fresh air blower which is what pushes the air through the vents for the heater or AC, then you need to remove it from engine side right behind firewall panel.

I have the whole venting system out. Its just connected by the wires which go to the fresh air blower. Its the wires im having trouble detaching.
Thanks though, it did take me a while to figure out that it had to be unscrewed from the engine side of the firewall.

I just pulled a big white connector apart on the left side of the whole vent unit for my e30. All the wires run through that to the motor, relays, switches, etc.
