ok...so...
been thinking of getting a whole new exhaust. new manifold, 2.5" piping, high-flow cat and twin eisenmann sports exhaust. spoke to my mechanic...found out that by increasing the pipes from 2" to 2.5" i lose back pressure in turn losing power.

so...new plan. new manifold, remake 2" piping, 200cpsi High-Flow CAT by Kenobi, resonator chamber delete and the twin Eisenmann sports exhaust...

any thoughts? would very much appreciate feedback

I have a 2 and a 1/4 inch main system, custom manifold, high flow cat and high flow muffler. when i drove it home from the exhaust shop i could feel there was more top end performance + awesom noise. if u have any questions just ask

Am running 2.5" pipe to the straight-flow centerbox (CAT? what's that??

) Then 2.25" pipe from the centerbox to the rear muffler which is a custom made straight flow box... No power with losing power at the lower end... can pootle along below 2,000rpm and then step on the gas and it just goes...

The rear muffler was actually a stock BMW muffler, gutted out, and rerouted the inner pipes to have 1 inlet and 2 outlet... Those who have followed me during high speed runs said the exhaust sounds good... but I have yet to listen to it from behind..

basically my main question is if i removed the resonator, would i get a raspy sound if i didn't hav the eisenmann exhaust? i know that i won't lose back pressure by removing the resonator as it does not restrict flow at all...but i don't want to sound like a try hard with a fart can on the back of my car.

would very much like to hear your exhaust gtabrissy...any chance of an audio or video clip?

so that's the stock exhaust with the resonator delete? will the E36 sound much different? or should i just wait until i have the eisenmann system before removing my resonator?
