i had and loved driving a 318is but sold it for what i thought was alot.  a week later i realized i missed it more than i thought.  i've been trying to replace it ever since.  mine was low mileage and in excellent condition both in and out.  i took it to a independent bmw mechanic who was as anal as i was about preventative maintenance and had the suspension replaced and new exhaust and on and on.
bottom line is that i will pay a premium price for a premium 418is with M42.  all i am finding is either high mileage, or modded beyond recognition, or beat.
if anyone has one they wish to sell or know of one or see one please let me know.
thanks

i know you do and i have looked at it alot.  i have even contacted you and was trying to work out a plan with you to bring it here and have my mechanic look at it and then buy it and me drive you back home, or leave my car at your place and drive it to my mechanic and return to either buy or return your car.  things just died at that point.

Did you check this one out?  It's up in NY somewhere.  Looks decent except for those awful AR wheels.  $1750 BIN...101K miles with gray fabric interior.  Why does it have a single good basketweave in the spare tire well?

Nevermind...just saw the frame rust, the shot paint job, the keyed trunk & the torn bolster.  I wonder what he'll end up getting for it?

OTOH, here's a dreamer that's selling a 1984 "318is" for...wait for it...$5495.  Yup...diving boards and all.  I wonder if he knows the difference between the M10 and M42?

I have a silver 318is 1991 79k miles
1 owner up to 78k
cloth interior in MINT condition
I never use the term mint lightly
the exterior has 1 or 2 small dings
the paint has minor surface scratches throughout from the PO using car wash.
They will buff out with no problems

looking for $7000 but open to offers.
I am also looking for a 5 series wagon

The car is 99% stock
the 1% is a black front lower lip and lower 3/4:" in front. The wheels have been also prof. painted Bavarian Blue in the web section. Looks really nice.

Thanks for your time

Yak,

Ha! I knew you were gonna regret selling that car. I was one of the guys looking at your car and was bummed when it sold.

I found mine on the CCA website.
