e36 m42 swap into e30

Dont know a whole lot about these cars but just wanting to know what you have to do to swap a e36 m42 into a e30!

The oil pan and intake manifold are different. The E36 block has knock sensors, and the wiring harness is different due to the knock sensors, DISA intake manifold, and physical chassis differences on the E36.  That's really all that should have to be adressed for swapping, and all the parts can be swapped over from the E30 motor.

If the E30 is with M40 it's easy.You have to use the m40 oil pan and that's  all.You'll use the e36's wiring and ECU.Just have to make the connection between the e30 wiring and the engine.
