So after resealing my front cover gasket, it appears that where the upper and lower cover meet (there is that rubber gasket) there might be a leak. Is there a better solution than using the rubber gasket?

I always see them with orange silicone goop, does that count?

The rubber gasket works if it is done correctly. It takes two larger Phillips screwdrivers and a sumo wrestler. Put the two screwdrivers into the camshafts, have the sumo wrestler press down until the cover flushes with the top of the head and then tighten all the bolts.

I live in Hawaii. I'm sure I could find some huge Samoan to sit on the upper cover.
