Ireland Motor Mounts
« on: July 07, 2010, 06:32:04 PM »
Well I was redoing my ignition wires today (I had routed them poorly when I installed them the first time). I looked down and saw the passenger side Ireland Engineering Motor Mount collapsed and looking a bit like Jell-O.

I installed a little over 2 years ago, and everything has been kosher. A few weekends ago I had driven home over 200 miles as well. I am always looking at them and inspecting them so the destruction is pretty darn recent.

That being said, time to go back to OEM parts ;)

I don't think 528 mounts work in the E36 chassis with the M42 like it does in the E30 with M42.

Eh stick with the E30.

I love my E36 don't get me wrong..but it is always the stupid little crap that breaks or falls apart.

I will just get new OEM mounts from pelican parts. Frankly, I was kind of tired of the extra NVH the polyurethane added anyway.
