e36 M42 with 105k miles. has the AC compressor still bolted to teh engine andit works perfectly. the engine is complete. intake and exhaust manifolds are there, throttle body, and ECU is also included.
This engine was pulled from a '93 318is in favor of an m3 engine swap a few months ago. it ran perfectly, and it is very clean. It is currently in the engine rebuilding room of the auto shop at fort gordon in augusta, GA. i am currently stationed at fort gordon and was working on my e30 318is there and the shop foreman showed me the engine and asked if i'd post it for him. i was very tempted to buy it myself, but "unfortunately" my m42 shows no signs of giving up.
I'll try and post a photo or two in the next few days. it's a great deal for a clean, solid, complete engine. you can contact me and i'll get you in touch with the foreman, or you could just swing by the shop yourself. the foreman's there wed through sunday. anybody can get on post so no worries there.
the foreman's price is only $400. there's great access at the shop, and the foreman and his staff are very helpful, so it'll be a cake walk to load it into a truck or whatever you have to transport it.
