« on: June 17, 2010, 11:53:47 PM »
i was at the junkyard today
and saw a 325i it was a 90...
would a fuel sending unit work for the 318is?
im aware that some models have two sending units?
but real oem shows  one of the units as the same as the
318is would it fit?

AFAIK the 325i M20 units won't work.  It does have two pumps, the one in the tank is a lift pump only.  The main pump is in the filter assembly beside the frame rail.  The tank is bigger though, I've though about installing that in my car to get a bit more range.

If you only want the sending unit...for the gauge then you will be fine with the 325 unit.  If the part number on realoem is the same then it is the same.  The pump itself is a bit different tho.
