What about a section or page for quick and easy Problem vs Solution.

For instance;

Problem - My Tach is dead  
Solution - Change the #10 fuse

Problem _ Oil leak near filter housing
Solution _ Change the sensor

They could be grouped based on the owners manual table of contents and linked to the original thread.  Keep it simple and direct.

Typically, when someone is experiencing a problem, they search the forum to find a solution, hence why creating a thread devoted to problem/solution wouldn't be a great idea in my book. The linking idea we could probably work with however, it would take some effort.

I was thinking in terms of a "locator index."  I too have done the search thing and it does work.  The model would be something like the bimmerdiy.com thing.

No big either way because this site is amazing as it is.
