Since my car was manufactured in may of 1990, I decided to celebrate its 20th birthday with a little cosmetic gift. Maybe its too cheesy, maybe not, but I dont care because I like it! A little custom Euro plate to finish up the front. I even put a few bug splats on it to make it seem authentic! (actually I'm just too lazy to wash it after a long drive today)

Sweet! Cheers to 20 years. Mine's just a bit younger, August 2 to be exact...not sure what I'll do for her yet, suggestions welcome.

Chris isn't posting at the current time due to a death in his family. I'm pretty sure he works at a BMW dealership...that'd make it pretty easy. Chris's report also gave full details of the original options installed on the car. Great thing to have.

I'd try the dealer first. My local one isn't that bad, especially considering that my car likely scares buyers away. Good time for a test drive too...or to order some Euro-spec ///M parts.

I work for the dealer but when I search the vin it only gives me production month and year. I'll go check again.

In Wisconsin, a car has to be 20 years old for collector plates. $175 to register, no renewals ever. Must have another car registered though, as you are not allowed to drive a collector car for the month of January.

I thought in some states you also couldn't drive it over "X" number of miles a year, either.

Congrats on the B day for the car, though.

You can also find the month and year of production on your car on realoem by putting in the last 7 of your VIN. Dunno if it is correct, but that means mine turns 20 in December of this year.

In PA we can't go over 3k a year. And we can't get caught using a car for work purposes. Like they'd know or care...

AND my little red sedan finally turned 20 years old. Hopefully she'll see another 20...I'm thinking she needs new head lights. Anyone tried the AutoPal H4s?
