For all that have coilovers, A Coilover Question

Getting some coilovers and i want to know what spring rate everyone has, bimmerworld gave me 350f 475r or 550f 650r i know that the latter would be pretty harsh, but i have seen  325 guys using them on the street. Any way, if you guys have coilovers Please give me some more info on what works best.

You reason for getting coilovers? Street or race application?
Your car's purpose? Dual duty or daily driver never to see an auto-x?
Your shock absorber selection at present? Koni, Bilsteins, Tokico, xxxxx?
Nature of the roads around you? Smooth (yeah right)

Most important of all -Have you ever ridden in a car with linera springs/coil overs? Lot of people buy coil overs just because and end up regretting as they notice it's not for them. I have them and they work for me. You can search and you will see all the info you want about me on COs.

Mods - can you guys just make a sticky in the suspension section for Coil overs and sways? A lot of questions are asked about em

My freind has a 90 325iS with ~500 600 and it isnt that bad, granted i dont ride in it everyday, but he doesnt complain. I was just wondering what the ride would be like in my car and which ones you would go with.
