I need to find a complete routing diagram for brakes on an 87 325ic ( I assume the 318 and 325 are the same if not similar). This car is ABS equipped.

I'm installing a bias controller after I installed Corvette C4 brakes on a customers car.

- Reservoir feeds master cylinder.
- MC has two outputs for the fronts, one for the rears. All three feed to the ABS unit.
- ABS unit has two independent outputs to front brakes.
- ABS unit has one output that feeds to rear brakes. This tees near the rear subframe to feed both rears.

Or when you say "routing diagram" do you mean some graphical representation showing where the lines actually lie in the chassis? As far as I know, people who adjust the rear bias do so because they put in a MC with equal sized MC pistons for F/R & need to reduce the rear brake capacity. They typically put the bias adjuster / pressure reducer in-line with the single line that runs to feed both rears.

Lizard are you asking about what setup is on this car? If so, it's corvette C4 calipers and rotors all the way around with what I believe is a 735 master cylinder and booster.

I need to fit this bias controller in after the ABS on the single line that runs to the back. I really don't want to make an entire new hardline. So do you guys have any suggestions. I want this to be within an inch of the ABS module rear line out to the rear.

And thanks for that info BMW man. I just wasn't sure which line was the rear out of the ABS. But with your info and finally getting sick self back under this car again, I saw what you were talking about.

Glad to hear it. Things are a little cramped up front by the ABS unit, but if memory serves me right the bias controller should fit somewhere (they are pretty small, right?). Finding the one line that runs to the rear shouldn't have been too bad...3 hard lines come from the MC, 2 run into the front fenders & the last one should be the one you want.
