1991 318i for sale in San Rafael, CA $1500

I bought a Mercedes so I'm getting rid of my 91 318i.

M42 engine
169k miles
M3 springs
offset CABs
1 year old control arms
21mm front sway bar from a vert
Bilstein HD shocks
Comes with 2 sets of wheels. The steelies pictured and a set of bottle caps with Falken RT615 tires.
Depowered E36 steering rack
3.64 open differential
Under the hood it has
22# EV6 injectors
Volvo Cooling fan
high beam intake to stock airbox
AC works great, very cold.
I've had the valve cover and lower oil pan off, the oil pump bolts were tightened 2 years ago and the cam gear teeth are in very good shape. Also replaced the timing chain tensioner and always fed it synthetic oil. Mechanically the car is in very good shape. I've driven it all over the west coast.
2 year old clutch
fixed the mess under the intake, no leaks, idles very smooth.
Comes with 2 DMEs. One stock the other with an ebay chip.
Cloth interior was replaced with sport seats out of a 2 door, also cloth
The black exterior was in poor shape when I got the car and I roller painted it white a couple of years ago. Its a 10' paint job. It has some rough spots especially around the sunroof. NO RUST.
Volvo lip
Ellipsoid headlights
Keyless entry with 1 working clicker and a couple of extra keys.
All fluids are synthetic
New pads and rotors all around last summer.

Timing gear teeth are in very good shape.








The second set of wheels with Falken RT615s. These tires are well worn and 1 has a slow leak. I would only drive these on dry summer days or for autoX.

Dammit, I have been wanting a 4-door for a long time.  Sadly, I have nowhere to put another car, and my GF would probably castrate me if I got another old car (or worse yet, she might go out & buy something).

A 1992 190e 2.6 (6 cylinder) 5 speed manual. I've had my eye out for one of these for a while after my dad picked up his 2.3 and I had a chance to work on it. The plan is to Megasquirt and either swap in a 3.2 24 valve engine or turbo the existing 12 valve. I already did the headgasket and MS conversion on his so I know my way around the car.

As much as I like the E30 I need something a lot more comfortable and quiet for highway trips with cruise control. I must be getting old. As you might know manual 6 cyl benzes are as rare as virgins after a HS prom so when I saw it I had to have it. The 190e will never match the 318i for sheer fun on tight twisty roads. If it doesn't sell immediately, I'm sure somebody in my family will drive it for a while. Unfortunately, they won't pay me. I'm selling the car along with everything related except for the roof rack.

190E 5spd is awesome and fairly rare. If you don't sell this, (which I don't see why you won't) I call first dibs if you part out. I see some goodies I want....actually several goodies.
