Does anyone know what flow rate the stock pump is rated at?

Also, can anyone recommend some higher rate pumps that fit our cars? I am having a hell of a time finding information. Are there any standards for fuel pump sizes like there are with injectors & other common car parts? Thanks!

flow rate is .875 liter for 30 sec at 12v

Best hot combination I've used is a Peterson Electric, with return regulator. The regulator keeps the pressure under control and the pump can push more fuel than any 1.8 can burn....

I used a walbro 255 in-tank kit made for a honda, but there are e30 kits out there but they are about $30 more for a different screen

How long have you had it? I was just looking to get a new fuel pump and this is MUCH more affordable than OEM.

I have been doing some reading, and I am a little weary of eBay "Walbro" pumps & the TRE ones. The one I like most is the Bosch 0 580 254 040 unit, but someone on r3vlimited sait it wouldn't fit in. I know that people have to modify the bracket to get the Walbro 255LPH one to fit, so I was wondering if the Bosch one was the same.

I have also seen people add fuel surge tanks to help reduce the transient pressure drop when you snap the throttle open. Anyone added that?

I didn't have to modify my bracket but I did secure the pump to the bracket with some safety wire

Ive had a generic ebay pump in my car that was listed to work on e30s for 3 years now (60k km) with no problems. I took the old pump off and replaced the valve/connector with fuel line and used SS clamps to tie it down. It nearly touches the bottom of the tank and it seems to work great.

Well, thanks for all the help & suggestions guys. I am going with a TRE Performance 255LPH in-tank pump kit. A lot of people have reported that the Walbro one is sort of loud, & I really don't need that nonsense.

When I install it I will try to snap some shots.
