engine check light

Hi all the engine check light on my dashboard doesn,t light when i turn the ignition on or when i try to perform an on board diagnostics check, i,ve changed the bulb for one i know to be good ...still no light any ideas welcome

I didn't think Euro cars carried OBD0, so no light for you.  I do think you could wire up a US unit without any other troubles to get one if you really needed it.

Edit...there might be a way here:
you need to connect your globe between a switched 12V and the brown  cable from pin 8 of the 1.7 ECU.
You will find this brown cable terminates at pin 12 of the C101 engine  loom plug under the plastic cover on the firewall. Pull back the c101  rubber cover and you can access the end of cable. I just push the wire  from the globe into the recess.
F10 is the feed for the 12v so you can push your other globe wire onto  the fuse.
Switch on ignition and the globe will light. Forget stomping the gas  pedal, just activate the throttle by fully open by hand once, wait and  then open fully 5 times. the globe will start flashing in a sequence of  four digits separated by one long flash and continue to repeat while  igntion is on.

Write down the series of flashes and go to the PelicanParts website to  get the error codes.
