Couple of questions. My interior heat is getting weak and after an entire winter of suffering I've got to the point where I need to get this done (just in time for summer of course).
Anyway, I have recently flushed out the cooling system, but it didn't do anything to help my heating problem. As such, a more robust response is called for. So here are my questions.
First, can I just flush the heater core by unhooking both of the hoses going through the firewall to the heater core, and hooking up a garden hose to one and letting it run. Second, will I damage the control valve by reverse flushing it? Third, there is a good Pelican Parts article on cleaning out the E36 heater core control valve - is this the same for the E30, and does anyone have any first hand experience here (i.e. how do I get the valve off without making a mess on my carpets?)
