Sorry Im confused by your response...

My car is a 1991 e30 318is, but my car has aftermarket headers, and my No ppm is too high so i cant pass smog, I would like to know if i can buy or even possibly barrow the stock headers from another 1991 e30 318is who has an extra set.

Were you trying to say that the headers from an e36 m42 318is would not fit? or does it?
Please explain.

Hey i appreciate your honesty in telling me it probably wont help...

I will think about it and change up some parts that board members have been mentioning that should help me. In the end I might need it cause the smog test guy mentioned he could fail me cause he could tell they are not stock headers but was nice and didnt.

I will let you know if Im interested.
